5. Three Stages of Hell Two out of three falls with a hook. Each fall has different stipulation up the possible obstacles to clear while dealing with exhaustion and injuries. One leads into another with no guarantees that a third fall will be needed. Favorite Match of this type No Way Out 2001 : Three Stages of Hell ‘Stone Cold Steve Austin’ vs HHH. First Fall Traditional Match; Second Fall A Street Fight and Third Fall is A Cage Match. HHH won the last two falls. 4. Ladder Match Objective of this match is grab a ladder; set it up in the middle of the ring; climb the ladder grab the belt or object from the cord suspended from the ceiling. Easier said then done. Multi wrestler style is used often which can be chaos but is what makes the match unpredictable. Literally anyone can win it since strength and wrestling is not as important in this match. You just have to be able to grab the prize at the top while avoiding a beating.

Favorite Match of this type Triple Threat Ladder match Wrestlemania 2000: WWF Tag Team Championship The Hardy Boys vs Dudley Boys (champions) vs Edge/Christian. Edge and Christian won by using two ladders and a table across to grab the belts. 3. Falls Count Anywhere A street fight where the match can go anywhere in and out of the arena. Weapons are welcomed with plenty of interference. Chaos scripted to a point. Unlike other street fight types matches this allows pin fall anywhere. Arena floors; bathrooms and parking lots where a camera just happens to capture the pin fall win. Favorite  Match of this type Half Time Raw 1999 (Superbowl) for The WWF Championship Mankind vs The Rock (champion) in a Falls Count anywhere in an empty arena match. It filled the entire half time show with plenty of comedy moments leading the garage where Mankind wins the belt by pinning Rock with a forklift.

2. Steel Cage A nice straight forward match to end a rivalry with a cage surrounding the ring. No lid; no rules with the only way to win is escape the cadge by door or climbing over the top. This way no one can say that they were actually pinned so egos aren’t damaged and fans keep coming back. Favorite Match of this type Summer Slam 1994: WWF World Championship Bret ‘The Hitman’ Hart (champion) vs ‘The King of Hearts’ Owen Hart. Bret Hart escaped the cage to win. 1. War Games In the 1980’s, Dusty Rhodes came up with the idea of War Games The Match Beyond. A concept for house shows to generate ticket sales which did wonders in the south ern territories. Idea was two teams made up of four or five members. The match starts out one on one with a member of both teams going for the first two minutes. Every two minutes after that another man is added until all members of both teams are in the match. During that time no pin falls or submissions are allowed. The cage has a roof and anything goes. Once everyone is in the match then the match truly begins as all members have been beaten down to the point to surrender. Someone from one team must give up to end the match.  There have been many variants of the concept but the original was the best in my opinion. Favorite Match of this type Wrestle War 1992: Sting; Ricky ‘ The Dragon’ Steamboat; Dustin Rhodes; Barry Windham and Nikita Koloff vs ‘Ravishing’ Rick Rude; ‘Stunning’ Steve Austin; ‘Beautiful’ Bobby Eaton; Arn Anderson and Larry Zbyszko. Sting’s team wins by getting Eaton to ‘surrender’.
