EIGHT RANDOM SINGERS/PERFORMERS THAT I COULD OF SEEN AS PLAYING DOCTOR WHO
What is to say that The Doctor cannot be played by a singer? Seven of the eight are British and all of them are eccentric. Fashion sense varies from all black to everything but black. Oddballs. If nothing else, a guaranteed awesome soundtrack for every episode. Yes, I am aware that these names were popular in the 60's; 70's; 80's and 90's which is perfect. Why? That was the high point of popularity for Doctor Who when creativity actually existed. Most of them just could wear what they wore on stage for the TV show without effecting the budget. Just let them start talking and build the story around that. Heck, take a part some the songs each wrote. Probably have years of stories to tell just based on an album.
8 Rod Stewart: The charming Scotsman who likes a good drink and a good time. Fashionable, if not odd, dresser, with an eccentric edge to him. Talk himself out of trouble but willing to go forward into a fight.
7 Phil Collins: Mild mannered gentleman with a cheery attitude but blends into his surroundings as he appears to fit everywhere as he truly belongs no where. More of a talker than an action man.
6 Elton John: A charming colorful man with a darkness that has shaped the light inside of him. Charisma of a showman with the persona of a gentleman. Misdirection that allows him to win the chess game.
5 Alice Cooper: A traveler who has carried all the years on his shoulders. A burden that has taken it's toll but refuses to end the endless journey. Will make those decisions to add to the pain if someone else needs him to do so. Anger in his tone but compassionate in his actions. A loner who needs people but afraid to loose anyone else.
4 David Bowie: An alien in everyday possible. Eccentric charm with no way of predicting what may or may not happen. A smile that welcomes and warns at the same time.
3 Freddy Mercury: Artist with dress; mannerisms and mind set. Seems as if he is dim but three sets ahead in reality. Takes his time as he already placed solutions into work.
2 Thomas Dolby: The eccentric inventor with the curiosity of a child to believe in nothing is off the table of possibility. Curious to the point of reckless. Never ignorant of the danger. Confident a solution will be found when needed.
1 Paul McCartney: Shy; artsy; reflective fellow with a quiet demeanor and smile to match. Plain clothes that make him stand out in a crowd of random lookalikes.
