- Religion Is A Man Made Attempt To Understand And Follow God.
Faith is that belief forged as a relationship between us and God that shapes us and a relationship with the world that is made up of people capable of incredible change both good and evil. A organic bond. We reach for God to see through God’s eyes as to what lies ahead for us without burden. To bot stumble in darkness but light. Christianity is not just a religion it is a name. The name of the messiah. The answer to our prayers that makes us new if we choose to accept to live forever in the power of a loving God without judgement as that messiah, turned the punishment of our evil on to himself to make all a new unending life to match an immortal soul shaped in love and hope. May we see Jesus Christ the one messiah that has and will come again
- One Must Look Around To See What Is Around Them
There is a huge difference. Looking is the active awareness of searching. Seeing is the end result. Every little detail of a moment which bleeds into another chained together. Picking those moments that had an impact on you. The positives of those moments shining on the top in the sun as the muck sinks into the ground eaten by the night. The positives fuel passion and hope. Breeds kindness and a chance of loving one’s life. Leading us to share it with others. The pattern changes constantly as people come and go. Conditions of work; family; relationships; money change for the good and the bad. People being born; moving and dying never stops. Constant motion being pushed forward. Time never stopping. As we learn to live; communicate with others. Becoming a makeshift family of sorts, we learn to trust and care. Learning all the details of another beyond what we can see. That the individual is the ingredient of the family. It affects everything. Makes a person special and irreplaceable. Once they are gone, they are gone. Surviving in our memories where they are safe. Every life is essential. Worth knowing as we all change in the little ways by the world we live. We should embrace it. Offer and accept forgiveness in ourselves and to others. God forgives us everyday. A simple request goes a long way. Love each other even if we do not like each other. Reach out to one another for all that we can learn and share with each other. Not to hate one another as it makes us numb and ugly. If we see then we can find that door standing in the middle of our lives. It is there. It exists inside that sense of peace we can hold. Understanding; acceptance; mercy; kindness; forgiveness; hope and love. We can find it in everyday life. Just shake the voice in our heads that reminds us of pain. Easier said then done but a work in progress. We, together, can see the door. We can hear the voice through the world if we shut out the pain just long enough to reach out our hand. We will find that key in each other. Why, because God is here always. Standing right in front of us. We just won’t see it. Sometimes it’s pride. Sometime ignorance. Or it is disappointment. God has no back so he can’t turn away from us, but we can turn towards him. Players choice. I believe in God. I believe in Jesus Christ. I believe in The Holy Spirit. I accept Jesus Christ as my Savior. Every idea and talent comes from God. Christ is God. Even this world is on loan from God. Everything is gifted from the one true God. I have seen it when I needed to God has sent me help in others in times I needed it the most. Making me see the important sides of the coin at the exact moment. Why? Because God is faithful. We are all a work in progress. We all fail and succeed at times. Capable of good and evil. We hurt and heal. Receive and give both love and hate. We can fix it with God. Not too late. God leads the way even if we do not see it. In 1986, I became diabetic. That is still a struggle. It affects all things. Through my life i have been called stupid and some doubted what I could do. I didnt belong as i was an oddball. God did not give up on me and blessed me with thise who changed my life for the best. I have had to endue and ask forgiveness often for those mistakes, but God carried me on. My family is not rich, but we always have enough and when need more it is provided by God. 2000, I was in between jobs. This allowed me to take care of my Grandma who was widowed and moved to Illinois. We were able to reconnect. Allowed me to return to my passion, storytelling and drawing. I began creating the Barnsyverse which exists to this day. I was losing my faith back in 2001. Then a friend introduced me to Kelly Schweig which brought me back to my faith. I married Kelly in 2003. Through the good and bad, me and Kelly have endured the odds still rising out of the tide. 2003, Kelly suggested I take a temp job at Roosevelt University’s Bookstore in Schaumburg. That lead to a full time job eventually in security which I still have today. I am blessed to have my wife and our daughter. There was a chance that i might not have been able to be a father biological due to my type 1 diabetes but God made it happen. My job also allowed me to be in my daughter’s, Katy, life quite actively since I work nights. I'm the bartender there. People come and chat needing an ear to bend. That's me. Many friends made. Good memories drown out the bad. When my dad was fighting cancer from 2016 to 2018, we were able to have that talk we needed to have. There was still a lot to say but he passed away knowing that I loved him. By 2017, I was in a bad way of dealing with this hurt. I needed a distraction to give me an outlet for the pain and Kelly suggested a creative one. I created the barnyink.com website to deal with my frustrations at how life was going. It brought a chance to deal with pain. i continue my website as a creative tool to showcase my work and a way to remember dad. 2018, we needed to get a newer car. We were going to trade out the Malibu and God stepped in. Sadly, Kelly’s dad passed away and his truck was left to Kelly. With both trade ins we were able to afford a better car. In 2025 that car saved me and Kelly, through God’s power, from a terrible accident that could of been so much worse. He carried us through. I entertain people with my geeky tendencies and I think that is the reason. I draw pictures; tell stories; make customized toys out of duct tape which I give away. I hope it makes a difference and I think it does. Have I gone through hard stuff yes, but those times have carried me and my family to better things. Made us stronger and forged us in our unity and faith. That disappointment of rejection as a creator lead here which brings me joy now. And all that time I spent taking care of Katy during her childhood, she and I share a strong bond. One that translates into geekdom and storytelling. The good pile outweighs the bad. Why? Because God shows me that in sliver of light in the dark that HE is still in charge. That good will shine through. We will sing; laugh and dance again. I am grateful for all I have. I am grateful to all of you who are in someway in my life. You all make me better. Believe me when I say that. I used this site now to entertain people which lead into my self publishing my own comics. And Please give God a chance.
- A.I. IS A TOY NOTHING ELSE
I want to share an opinion. I totally understand if you any or all don’t agree with me on this one. That’s fine. And before I start, yes, I use editing tools to edit and format my work in regards to cropping and tint of the drawing to match a hard copy page, but I do not like AI art. Not a fan of AI storytelling either. It’s not real. It looks cheap overall without soul. Stitched together from random places to make something quickly and without any trouble. Looks fairly believable but the details lie to show errors and flaws. AI is getting better, but memory tells you Mr. Rogers never met Randy Savage in the modern day as both are dead. There was never two Peter Torks in The Monkees. Dick Van Dyke didn't punch Jimmy Kimmel no matter how real it looks if you see the slip slap together glue job. And Spider-Man does not have four fingers on one hand. AI is encouraged as an option with voices even but still no humanity in it. It’s lazy. Research fine but not creating. AI is no edge. Fine, you tell it what to make and may look great but it aint yours. You cannot claim any of this ever as a personal accomplishment cause it’s never yours. Drawing is a brilliant expression flaw and all. I have drawn my pelican, Barnsy, over and over again with each somehow being different. Each of my comic strips I post here are drawn and lettered by me with editing by Kelly or Katy. Not perfect and sometimes I must start over because of a mistake or drawn in a moon to cover up. A computer can't do that cause it doesn't know how. It serves to order not to make another smile and feel. That’s good because a computer can copy but will not try again for self improvement cause it has no emotional stake. It cannot understand the subtle details of a drawing or music, but can replicate on a dead beat level that seems fine at a glance but will realize The Beales should not mimic ‘We are the Champions’ if half of them are gone and no ones in a studio going over and over to make it right by their creative standards. Computers have no creative standards, just commands to shape well but cold. No xerox or vending machine required. Not doing virtual mad libs here. A person can make mistakes which create something beautiful. You build or write something with your talents and skills. It’s a testament of you not the ability to press a button. AI can be fun make art for fun but it should be nothing more then be a toy. It takes the mind out of reality and denies God of showing us how our own talents are a million times greater. May take time and practice but the joy is getting there. Tech should be an assistant not the leader. No heart; no passion; no soul; no reasoning and merely a program to tell it is creative when it does not understand the deeper meaning.
- 20 OF MY FAVORITE VOICE OVER INTROS FOR TV SHOWS BOTH ANIMATED AND LIVE ACTION
One can get lost with a show that they do not follow from episode one word one sometimes,. This little top twenty I cobbled together, does not have that problem. Each and every episode will tell where we have been and where we might be going. I only included the year each started as some went on for year and some gone in a blink. Honestly I like these shows at least in the beginning as they were world building. I love world building. Giving us a reason to care. Here is a spoiler for you all, only number #2 actually has words to the theme song. The rest of them are all good instrumentals that are there merely to accompany the narration to bring us to speed. 20) THE PHOENIX (1982) 'Long ago, in a remote corner of the world, ancient astronauts landed from a distant planet with a gift for mankind… the Phoenix. For a thousand years, he has waited… suspended in time. Now, he’s awakened to complete his mission. He searches for his partner, Mira. For only she knows his ultimate assignment on Earth. Dependent on the sun for his strength and survival, endowed with a superior intelligence, he has fully developed the powers of the human mind. Relentlessly pursued by those who seek to control him, he must stay free. The Phoenix' 19) ADVENTURES OF SUPERMAN (1952) 'Yes, it's Superman ... strange visitor from another planet, who came to Earth with powers and abilities far beyond those of mortal men! Superman ... who can change the course of mighty rivers, bend steel in his bare hands, and who, disguised as Clark Kent , mild-mannered reporter for a great metropolitan newspaper, fights a never-ending battle for truth, justice, and the American way!' 18) ALIEN NATION (1989) 'This was the scene in California in California Mojave Desert 5 years ago. Civil liberties attorneys successfully lobbied for the quarantine and in the last 5yrs, the Newcomers have become the latest addition to the population of Los Angeles.' 17) PHANTOM 2040 (1994) The role of the Phantom has been passed on from father to son since the 1500s, leading the world to believe that the Phantom is a single immortal individual. Kit, the 24th in the line, is young, unsure, and inexperienced, but he finds within him the courage and might to battle the evil that threatens to destroy the Earth. 16) BUCK ROGERS IN THE 25TH CENTURY (1979) 'In the year 1987, NASA launched the last of America's deep space probes. The payload, perched on the nose cone of the massive rocket, was a one-man exploration vessel - Ranger 3. Aboard this compact starship, a lone astronaut - Captain William "Buck" Rogers - was to experience cosmic forces beyond all comprehension. An awesome brush with death: in the blink of an eye, his life support systems were frozen by temperatures beyond imagination. Ranger 3 was blown out of its planned trajectory into an orbit a thousand times more vast, an orbit which was to return the ship full circle to his point of origin - its mother Earth - not in five months, but in 500 years.' 15) BATTLESTAR GALACTICA (1978) 'There are those who believe that life here began out there, far across the universe... with tribes of humans who may have been the forefathers of the Egyptians, or the Toltecs, or the Mayans... Some believe there may yet be brothers of man who even now fight to survive, somewhere beyond the heavens!' 14) SIX MILLION DOLLAR MAN (1973) 'Steve Austin, astronaut. A man barely alive." Richard Anderson, in character as Oscar Goldman, then intones off-camera, "Gentlemen, we can rebuild him. We have the technology. We have the capability to make the world's first bionic man. Steve Austin will be that man. Better than he was before. Better . . . stronger . . . faster." During the first season, beginning with "Population: Zero", Anderson, as Goldman, intoned more simply, "We can rebuild him. We have the technology. We can make him better than he was. Better . . . stronger . . . faster.' 13) THE CENTURIONS (1986) ' Doc Terror and his cyborg companion Hacker unleashed their forces to conquer Earth! Only one force can stop this evil: a handful of brave men. In specially created exo-frames, they can be transported anywhere to fuse with incredible assault weapon systems beamed down from the space station Skyvault, becoming man and machine, Power Xtreme! Max Ray, brilliant Sea Operations commander! Jake Rockwell, rugged Land Operations specialist! Ace McCloud, daring Air Operations expert! These men promptly escaped from a maximum security stockade to the Los Angeles underground. Today, still wanted by the government, they survive as soldiers of fortune. If you have a problem, if no one else can help, and if you can find them, maybe you can hire... the A-Team.' 10) VOLTRON: DEFENDER OF THE UNIVERSE (1984) 'From days of long ago, from uncharted regions of the universe, comes a legend. The legend of Voltron, Defender of the Universe! A mighty robot, loved by good, feared by evil. As Voltron's legend grew, peace settled across the galaxy. On planet Earth, a Galaxy Alliance was formed. Together with the good planets of the Solar System, they maintained peace throughout the universe, until a new horrible menace threatened the galaxy. Voltron was needed once more. This is the story of the super force of space explorers, specially trained, and sent by the Alliance, to bring back... Voltron, Defender of the Universe!' 9) OUTER LIMITS (1963) 'There is nothing wrong with your television set. Do not attempt to adjust the picture. We are controlling transmission. If we wish to make it louder, we will bring up the volume. If we wish to make it softer, we will tune it to a whisper. We will control the horizontal. We will control the vertical. We can roll the image; make it flutter. We can change the focus to a soft blur or sharpen it to crystal clarity. For the next hour, sit quietly and we will control all that you see and hear. We repeat: there is nothing wrong with your television set. You are about to participate in a great adventure. You are about to experience the awe and mystery which reaches from the inner mind to the outer limits.' 8) TWILIGHT ZONE (1959) 'You're traveling through another dimension, a dimension not only of sight and sound but of mind. A journey into a wondrous land whose boundaries are that of imagination. That's the signpost up ahead - your next stop, the Twilight Zone! 7) LAW & ORDER: SPECIAL VICTIMS UNIT (1999) 'In the criminal justice system, sexually-based offenses are considered especially heinous. In New York City, the dedicated detectives who investigate these vicious felonies are members of an elite squad known as the Special Victims Unit. He woke to find himself trapped in the past, facing mirror images that were not his own, and driven by an unknown force to change history for the better. His only guide on this journey is Al, an observer from his own time, who appears in the form of a hologram that only Sam can see and hear. And so Doctor Beckett finds himself leaping from life to life, striving to put right what once went wrong, and hoping each time that his next leap will be the leap home…' 3) SWAMP THING (1990) 'The swamp is my world. It is who I am; it is what I am. I was once a man. I know the evil men do. Do not bring your evil here, I warn you. Beware the wrath of Swamp Thing.' 2)HIGHLANDER (1992) 'He is immortal. Born in the Highlands of Scotland 400 years ago. He is not alone. There are others like him, some good, some evil. For centuries he has battled the forces of darkness, with holy ground his only refuge. He cannot die, unless you take his head, and with it his power. In the end there can be only one. He is Duncan MacLeod, the Highlander.' 1) THE INCREDIBLE HULK (1978) 'Dr. David Banner: physician, scientist; searching for a way to tap into the hidden strengths that all humans have. - DEATH SUCKS
It does really suck. I don’t care that it is a part of life. I don’t care that it is inevitable, it still sucks. A life just stops here. Done, over with so much left undone or said. It is not fair! I am aware that God has a plan. I know HE does. I know life is not fair. Everything be one in the end, I believe that. It just doesn’t make me feel better now. I read about so many dying at such young ages with ‘unknown causes’ or cancer or worse. It’s heartbreaking for those left behind to endure such loses. To be comforted only by memories which don’t do the job when we need them to. You feel you will never stop crying. You want to be numb because then maybe you won’t hurt, but then afraid that you will never feel again because a part of you is gone. Cannot replace that part of you. A friend; a child; a spouse; parent; sibling, it doesn’t make it easier. Age is meaningless. ‘Oh they are out of pain’, is worthless right now. ‘They lived a long life’, still so much to do. None of that works because you want that person here and now. To hold onto so to say, ‘I need you. I love you. I’m so happy that I have you.’ Never gets old if you mean it. I don’t like the perceived unpredictability of life. Must enjoy the moment. Not promised tomorrow which is so true. A piece of the puzzle is added or taken away makes the whole puzzle different. That is happening everyday with us not noticing until we stop to see that it happened to us. That is where we go numb or insane. Death is an exit to an unknown continuation. I do not believe that we turn off never to feel again. To know that we turn off means that life is not dead and we have to know that we turned off for it to actually mean something. Life is immortal with two options: broken road or a perfect one. We are not perfect, but faith makes up for that if we accept Jesus Christ. God is immortal but this world is finite. We try to extend the warranty. There is a beginning and an ending like a book. Own the world even though we do not. We found it but we didn’t make it. Prolong our existence with drugs and plastics but we still age with change rolling about. Where is God? HE is standing right here where each of us is. HE is not looking for us, HE knows where we are. HE is the beauty of life in this world. Untainted by corruption of evil. The purity of a song; a sunset; a kind word; a nice meal; a laugh; a hope; a gentle hand expecting nothing in return. We need to turn around with our arms open so HE CAN SAVE US. Tell HIM you need HIM. Tell Him you love HIM because HE loves you. Tell HIM everything on your mind good and bad. Just between you and God. HE listens. It doesn’t work if we don’t accept. We must choose the dark or the light. Knowingly or not we make that choice. Do it with a willingness. The light is hope and the dark is nothing. Christ can and does help us if we let HIM. We don’t have to be alone. God is knocking on the door. HE gives us help through our friends; family; knowledge and talents but we don’t look for God to show us the way. We know squat. Everything we got is Gods. All we got is a choice. I want everyone who reads this to choose Jesus Christ but you have to choose. To love; forgive; be kind; merciful; accept others comes only truly from God. Christ is God. Do we exit this world still, yes, but we don’t have to doubt where we go if we trust God; embrace Jesus Christ and walk with him.
- Bullet Boy
My Dad and I use to have some interesting conversations about various topic. Movies, music, and TV, mainly but, occasionally more odd topics would arise. One in particular is Batman’s sidekick, Robin. There have been five official incarnations of Robin in the comics since the forties and some more well liked then others. Robin has been a girl once, lethal, more of a detective, but always backing Batman up at some point. That brings me to Dad’s favorite nickname for the character. Bullet Boy, the human shield. Yeah, Dad was color blind though he was still aware of the color scheme for Robin. It matches nothing. There is nothing, but maybe circus tents or a parade float that the costume could possibly blend into. Yellow cape, red chest plate with green leggings, and sleeves with black mask, and boots. And a bright yellow belt and a huge ‘R’ on the right side of the chest screaming, "Shoot here!!!" Batman, the greatest detective, is a bit smarter in what he wears. ALL BLACK. No one can see him in the shadows. Bats are nocturnal so the supply of darkness is not lacking. Sure the utility belt and bat insignia are yellow, but easily covered by the black cape. See what I mean? Batman can just go hide in the corner while the bad guys all aim at the frantically moving target, Robin! They all seem to be gymnasts. Did I mention that most of the Robins were orphans? Yeah, street kids who had qualities that made them survivors and no known parentage to avoid lawsuits. Yeah, no comic book company wants that. Never understood why Robin wears a tiny mask that protects nothing. No matter how much body armor you wear a bullet with still crack the skull. That is another thing, is everyone blind? Just because you cannot see the cheek bones does not mean you should be able to recognize who is under the mask! Do worry about the Robins. Even if one dies and is replaced by another, the previous one will return eventually. That has happened already. Robin #2 came back from the dead therefore currently all official Robins are among the living., again Comic books, no one stays dead. Except for Uncle Ben in Spiderman, Batman's parents in Batman, Gwen Stacy in Spiderman, and many more in the main universes, except for Alternate universes or re-writes in the main universe. Simple, right?
